Can Tea Party Win in 2012? – Rand Paul’s Case Study

In order to gauge the organizational strength and prospects of the tea party movement for 2012 Senate races, one has to study the evolution of 2010 senate races.

It would be worthwhile and instructive to study the campaign performance in terms of tactical and strategic triumphs and blunders of these three candidates if emerging Tea Party candidates like Jamie Radtke of Virginia, Andrew Dodge of Maine and Chad Dewey of Michigan want to entertain any thought of winning in 2012.

Rand Paul launched his senate exploratory bid at the ministry of propaganda outfit MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow show on May 14th 2009, a highly unorthodox approach considering how many GOP candidates utilize friendlier Fox News for exposure. In a stinging message to the GOP establishment, he made it clear that he is not going to be their poodle and will reach out across the media spectrum for donations and publicity during the primaries.
