There is a nightmare scenario post-2012 that takes no creative talent to ponder. Consider post-2012 with a re-elected triumphant President Obama and Senator Snowe back in her place. Obama would have a reliable turn-coat to help him push forward his renewed social democratic program. Snowe would bask in the attention from the newly invigorated Obama, as she has in the last three years every time he has come a-calling. Are you sure the Republicans are going to have a RINO proof majority?
