Andrew Ian Dodge is running for U.S. Senate as a Libertarian. Dodge was at the Libertarian Party of Maine’s 2012 conference in Saco today. Dodge was going to run for the U.S. Senate as a Republican, but left the party and decided to run against them after Maine’s caucus. He says he’s trying to give voters an alternative to the two party system.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SENATE CANDIDATE DODGE to address LPME conference this Saturday.
Andrew Ian Dodge said this as he prepares to address the Libertarian Party of Maine’s 2012 conference at the Ramada Hotel, Saco this Saturday 31st March 2012:
“I think the people of Maine are sick and tired of the tit for tat politics of the two major parties. Maine and the country are not going to be fixed by partisan pandering. It is time for practical ideas and actual solutions.
I am greatly looking forward to speaking at the LPME this Saturday. Maine is ready for libertarian ideas and principles. I look forward to meeting Libertarian activists from all over Maine and the region.”
Andrew is scheduled to speak at 3pm and will be happy to take questions after his speech.

SENATE CANDIDATE DODGE stands against internet taxation.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SENATE CANDIDATE DODGE
stands against internet taxation.
The Hill reported that Governor Paul LePage supports, like Sen. Snowe, taxation of the internet.
Andrew Ian Dodge commented on this development.
“Alleged tea party/limited government Gov. LePage supports internet taxation? Clearly it shows
he does not believe in limited government if he wants to tax the internet. He unfortunately
shares Sen. Snowe’s, whose re-election he supported, ignorance about the internet and its
value to Maine business. Internet taxation and regulation is a direct threat to small business. To
think that internet taxation will not adversely affect small business in Maine shows a profound
misunderstanding of the modern world.
